Overview

Most people with high blood pressure feel completely well. It is found on routine measurement and confirmed with repeated or home readings.

  • Usually none
  • Occasionally headache

What to tell the patient

High blood pressure usually causes no symptoms, so we treat the number, not the feeling. Take the tablets every day, even when you feel fine, and cut down on salt.
