Cookies policy
What the dictionary stores in your browser, and what it does not.
Last updated: 18 August 2026
No tracking or advertising cookies
Traduttur Mediku does not set advertising cookies, does not run third-party analytics or marketing tags, and does not track you across other websites. Because of that there is no consent banner to click through: searching the dictionary requires no cookies at all.
Strictly necessary storage
- Sign-in session (editor only). If you sign in to the administration area, the hosting platform sets a session cookie so it can recognise you across pages. Visitors who never sign in never receive it.
- Short-lived caches. Search results and generated pronunciation audio may be held in your browser's memory for the duration of the visit so repeated lookups are instant. This is cleared when you close the tab and is not a cookie.
Third-party requests
Two external services are contacted only when needed: ElevenLabs, to generate pronunciation audio for a term with no recording, and the University of Malta's Ġabra lexicon, when you open the lexicon panel on a term. Both are requested by the site's own server or on your explicit action, and neither sets cookies in your browser through this site.
Managing storage
You can clear or block cookies and site storage at any time in your browser settings. Doing so has no effect on searching or browsing the dictionary; it will only sign an editor out of the administration area.
